Ada – New home for a digital college shaping the next generation of tech talent

Ada National College for Digital Skills offers Sixth Form courses, student apprenticeships and employer partnerships to open pathways into technology careers for young people from a wide range of backgrounds.


We partnered with Ada to create a visually bold and flexible website that reflects their mission, streamlines user journeys and supports their growth and ambition as a leader in digital education.

Focusing on what matters

The previous website was hard to navigate, content-heavy and not optimised for mobile devices. Ada needed a new platform that would establish them as a national leader in digital education, boost student and apprentice applications, and clearly communicate their mission and impact to employers. It also had to work better for current students, parents, employers and alumni and provide internal teams with the flexibility to keep their content up-to-date, fresh and relevant.

Structured around audience groups

We began with consultation and user research to understand audience needs and test any existing assumptions about site structure. From there, we created an intuitive information architecture that gives each identified user group a clear path through the site. Real student stories and career outcomes became central to the content strategy, making the site feel more authentic and people-focused.

Bold but flexible

Informed by Ada’s distinctive brand identity, we explored a visual design that fully embraced the modularity of a block-based approach. We tamed and systematised the brand approach to colour and pattern so that it leads the eye and holds the content without becoming overly distracting, and used asymmetry in the layout to guide the pace at which users view the content.

A platform to support a growing organisation

The new website makes it easier for students to explore courses, for employers to see Ada’s value, and for alumni to stay connected. It positions Ada as a bold, ambitious organisation at the forefront of digital education – and gives their team the tools to keep telling that story.
